Close your eyes and imagine a peaceful and beautiful music along with luminous waterfalls and birds flying around. Probably a nice feeling will invade you and that’s exactly how you will feel when you first enter “Mahjong World” game.
The goal of the game is the following: you must clear the board of tiles by matching them off in pairs. However, you can only select tiles which have at least 1 side free, and which have no other tiles on top of them. There are some special tiles to keep in mind. Flower and Season tiles are special, you can match any flower tile with any of the 3 other flower tiles, and the same goes for the seasons.
Besides clearing the board you are playing, your second goal is to earn tiles. You can earn tiles just by playing the game and completing layouts. There are 27 tiles to collect, 9 bronze, 9 silver and 9 gold.
After you have completed your tile collection, there is a special set of awards you can collect for the truly elite player. If you want to play home tournaments you can create more than one player profile and you will be seeing next to every player’s name a small icon that shows what they are currently collecting and how many of that set they have. The more tiles and awards a player has, the better they will be, so aim high and be the best Mahjong player in the world.
Each tile has a base value. When you match a tile, your score is increased by the base value multiplied by half the total number of tiles left in play. At the end of a game, the time you took to complete the layout is deducted from your score. So to get the highest score, be quick and match the most valuable tiles first.
There is also a speed bonus, let’s see how it works. If you match 3 tiles in quick succession you trigger a speed bonus, this will add extra points to your score. If you quickly match another tile after the speed bonus you get a Double Bonus, which is worth more points. If you can get a run of 6 tiles then you will earn a Super Bonus.
There is a couple of features that makes this Mahjong game special. One of them is that you can download new tiles sets from the Internet so you won’t get bored easily. The second cool thing is that you can play your own music while playing the game, just by choosing the mp3 files you like.
